US Navy Special Warfare Group SEALs Special Ops Craft Boat Mark V Bow Section
US Navy Special Warfare Group SEALs Special Ops Craft Boat Mark V Bow Section. Salvaged bow section from 1995 US Navy Special Warfare craft, the 1995 Mark V Special Operations Craft (MK V SOC) formerly deployed by US Navy Special Warfare Groups. This bow section came off the second of only 20 boats ever made; It was manufactured by VT Halter Marine Inc, hull# 25MPB9501. This bow section has two hatch doors on top which still function. The Navy has since retired all of these craft. These boats had a low radar profile and were mainly used as a quick insertion and extraction platform for US Navy SEALs. The entire craft was 82 long, all aluminum construction. It had room for 5 crew, 16 SEALs and their equipment. It featured a launching platform off the stern for up to four Combat Rubber Raiding Craft. The boat used two V12 diesel engines and waterjets that propel the vessel to over 50 knots. Condition: As expected with age and use in a harsh nautical environment, scuffs, surface scratches and patina are present. When the bow was removed from the boat, it was too tall and wide to transport on our open trailer, so we cut a small section out. Salvage History: Bow was salvaged on Season 8 Episode 9 of the DiY Network show “Salvage Dawgs”. Weight: 2,772 lbs, Measurements: 82H x 128D x 354W Dimensions here include both pieces, represented as if boat was afloat. Dimensions for small piece: 512 lbs, 66H x 49.5D x 111W. Please inquire for local pick-up pricing. Founded in 1999, Black Dog Salvage is an architectural salvage company based in Roanoke, Virginia, and home of the television series. On the DIY Network.
