This 8.5 foot marine antenna was salvaged from a US Navy Special Warefare Group vehicle, the Mark V Special Ops Craft. The fiberglass antenna includes a heavy duty stainless steel ratchet mount by D. Comes with Through Deck Gland, coax cable and connector. The antenna has a white finish, black rubber tip and signature Shakespeare blue and green wraparound stripes. Condition: Very good condition for age and use. Solid antenna body with no cracks or repairs. Surface shows scuffing and patina as expected with use in a harsh marine environment. Untested and cannot guarantee functionality. The bracket and Through Deck Gland in very good condition. We currently have 2 antenna sets available: one of the antennas has a split in the coax cable (as shown in photos). The cable on the other antenna is in excellent condition. Salvage History: This antenna was salvaged from a 1995 Mark V Special Operations Craft (MK V SOC), formerly deployed by US Navy Special Warfare Groups. This was the second of only 20 boats ever made. It was manufactured by VT Halter Marine Inc, hull# 25MPB9501. The Navy has since retired all of these crafts. These boats had a low radar profile and were mainly used as a quick insertion and extraction platform for US Navy SEALs. The entire craft was 82′ long, all aluminum construction. It had room for 5 crew, 16 SEALs and their equipment. It featured a launching platform off the stern for up to four Combat Rubber Raiding Craft. The boat used two V12 diesel engines and waterjets that propel the vessel to over 50 knots. M This vessel and items from it are featured on Season 8, Episode 9, of the DIY Network show, “Salvage Dawgs”. Measurements: 101H x 3.75D 2.75 Weight: 4 lb.
