This rare photograph captures the USLHS Side-wheel Tender “Holly” early in the 1900s. I can’t see any markings as to the name. Written in pencil on the right side is Holly. Lighthouse pennant on foremast, low forward deck, and foremast rigged as a Derrick lead me to believe this. The image depicts the vessel with its intricate design and craftsmanship on full display. This collectible piece is a must-have for any maritime enthusiast or lover of USLHS, USLHE or US Coast Guard history. The photograph was taken in the United States and is a valuable addition to any collection of transportation memorabilia. The vessel’s year of origin is 1900, making it over a century old. This photograph is a remarkable piece of history and is sure to be cherished by any collector. Measures 6 1/2 x 4 1/8 inches. Wear to image center. Photographed by WM Kinling 508 S Broadway Baltimore Md. The Holly assisted in the rebuilding of the New Wolf Trap lighthouse in 1893.
