This set comprises several Japanese Merchant Ships. However I have never seen any that were three stalls wide per side excepting the 5-A sets. There are three in the set that I could not identify with any degree of certainty and they are the ones on the non-original bases. They did not fit on the original bases and three of those were missing, therefore I made my own as close as possible to the original specifications. It is part of a large number of ships that were made by Comet and South Salem models for US soldiers to use to learn identification of friend or foe. These were commissioned because American soldiers were sinking to many allied vessels. All of the ships are spin cast lead. These include various brands as well as two boxed sets of ships made during, and pre WWII. Please look at the pictures carefully as they describe it better than I can. Also feel free to ask any questions or to make an offer, all reasonable ones will be considered. If there is an explanation in addition to your offer it is more likely to be accepted, or it may justify a low offer still being a reasonable offer. These Comet ships are in good condition for their age, listed below are the ships in the set. 11 Unidentified, therefore on non-original base. 12 Unidentified, therefore on non-original base. 13 Unidentified, therefore on non-original base. 17 Dai-iti Ogura Maru. 25 Bu_ _ Maru Unidentified letters.
