1897 1898 U. S. Navy Unused Sheet Of Three Bill Of Exchange Very Rare Unique
Has three notes to a sheet. Printed by the American Bank Note Co. Watermark on the paper is of the Crane Co. The Crane company that prints paper for U. Currency researched this item for me and says it was printed in 1897 or soon after. They even had never seen an uncut sheet!! Most likely used during Spanish-American war!! This could be very well the only uncut sheet in existence. A pink paper with black ink. Has great graphics of a sailor with U. Measures 13″ X 14″. This a must for any military collector, maritime collector, or bank note collector. Thanks; the paper is Crane’s Bond, No. 51 which, I believe, means it weighs 51 pounds per ream. A good solid text-weight paper. And the watermark is 1897, so the document would have been printed sometime after that; most likely in that year or very close to it. A really nice document.
