Framed, in 2002, in a period frame with acid free mat and backing board. USS Honolulu CL 48 was a Brooklyn-class light cruiser active in the Pacific During WWII. Sept 1, 1934 – Construction began at New York Naval Yard, Brooklyn, New York. Aug 26, 1937 – Launched. Jun 15, 1938 – Launched. Nov 5, 1940 Left for Pearl Harbor. Dec 7, 1941 In Pearl Harbor, moored at the naval station – survived minor hull damage from a near miss. Feb 3, 1947 – Decommissioned.
