Rare wood reproduction of the Patrol Torpedo boat PT-109, originally designed by Hubert Scott-Paine and. Last commanded by Lieutenant John F. PT-109 last saw action during the Solomon Islands campaign of the Pacific theater during World War II. Kennedy’s actions in saving his surviving crew after PT-109 was rammed and sunk by a Japanese destroyer made him a war hero. 6 1/2″ long x 2″ wide, about fine unrestored condition, original wood varnish fine, few minor scratches, flag corner chipped, gun turrets, front cannon, aft light and cannon rotate perfectly.
