Rare lithograph of the Great White Fleet in San Francisco in 1908. The pictured include the USS Connecticut, USS Maine, USS Kansas, USS Missouri, USS South Dakota, USS Kentucky, USS Kearsarge, USS Vermont, USS California, USS Louisiana, USS Virginia, USS Rhode Island, USS Maryland, USS Wisconsin, USS New Jersey, USS Georgia, as well as several torpedo boats, and numerous sailing vessels and launches. The lithograph is by the Schmidt Lithograph Company in San Francisco, and published by WM. It was framed at some point with non-glare glass by a firm in Oakland. I have no idea of the age of the frame, but it is a nice compliment to the litho. The frame has a few small dings, and there are a few tears to the backing. If you look closely at the print you can see some slight imperfections, but when you look at it overall the condition is very good. I love the detail and accuracy in the ships and San Francisco skyline. The dimensions are about 42″ x 16″. Navy, naval, battleships, Roosevelt, San Francisco, battleship, dreadnaught.
