New York Shipbuilding Corporation – Photographic Impressions of the World’s Largest Shipyard, 1921, originally published by New York Shipbuilding Corp. New York, NY, 1921. 9 x 12 paperbound, 40 pages. Please not this is an ORIGINAL, not a reproduction. The front cover and flyleaf are detached from the rest of the text block. All pages are clean and free of marks, and are yellowed slightly. There is no foxing, and the pages are just slightly brittle. So, the major problem is the failure of the outer binding. Otherwise, this is a magnificent and rare artifact of one of the great industrial concerns of the United States, which, during World War Two, was the largest and most productive shipyard in the world. New York Shipbuilding Corp. Was in business from 1899 to 1968, and completed more than 500 vessels for the U. Navy, the United States Merchant Marine, the United States Coast Guard, the navies of several countries, and other maritime concerns.
