Genuine diesel engine spare part (exhaust valve for Hamilton Diesel Engine) manufactured over 60 years ago for WWII U. Navy Mine Sweeper (AMc and others). If not in a memorabilia display case, make it a desk ornament, paper weight, or display it next to a framed genuine parts list schematic (as depicted) this valve is two piece construction stainless steel and/or Inconel in the lower half where the valve head sits in the combustion chamberand forged steel on the stem. The way they induction weld/fused the two metals back in the WWII era was state of the art. They still use that method today! Valves are PROX 10 7/8 L x 3 head dia x 5/8 stem dia. NET WEIGHT 6 POUNDS. EST PACKAGE WEIGHT, 7 POUNDS. The material from the top of the stem to 7 ¼ toward the head is magnetic; the balance of stem and head is non-mag.
