This is a vintage original unrestored Charles K. These models are really sought after, and to have an original boxed piece is very rare. My guess is this is WWII era. The front rails (along the bow edge) have popped up, and just need to be put back down into place, that appears to be an easy fix that even a non-modeler can do. The box has an inner cardboard ledge that holds the model in place, so the masts and rigging and other details stay nice. The base and box are both marked, the box also has other markings (length 17.5 inches total, and other info), and some shelf and tape wear.
