Hese were brought back by US veteran at the end of the war. The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6×30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7×50, 8×30, 10×50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service. Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stinger optics, and were issues to personnel on a limited basis. Made of steel, by Carl Zeiss (blc), these 7×50 power binoculars are in GOOD used condition! The lens bodies retain about 80% of their original, finish, and the end piece fittings are 100% intact! The focus adjustments still function perfectly on both eye pieces, however the right side has some spotting. Optical alignment is perfect. Right side is body marked. Various marks and scratches throughout. A VERY NICE example, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display! TERMS OF SALE. Used by Navy Search Light and Sound Locator units, these feature the RARE gas mask rubber eye cups, and the original case! The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6×30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7×50, 8×30, 10×50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service. Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stinger optics, and were issues to personnel on a limited basis. Made of aluminum, brass, and steel by Carl Zeiss Jena, these 7 x 50 power binoculars are in EXCELLENT used condition! The lens bodies retain about 95% of their original, finish, and the aluminum end piece fittings are 100% intact! The focus adjustments still function perfectly on both eye pieces and the optics are still VERY clear, though a bit foggy (objective lenses are a dirty). The RARE feature is that rather than the stnadard black crackle finish, this pair is wrapped in LEATHER! Specifically issued to Searchlight and Sound Locator units, the right side is body marked. The left side is marked with a prominent Kriegsmarine Adler, the serial number, “2074503” (indicating they were made in 1940). Features the RARE Kriegsmarine Eye Piece fittings, as well as rubber Gas Mask end pieces. These can be moved back approx 10mm, and allow the wearer to use the binoculars with or without the mask. The rubber is a bit deformed in areas, but still quite soft and flexible. Features a gradient/targetting scale in the left lens. Also comes with the original strap, but I do not see any manufacture markings. Bakelite rain shield is also present. The case is original to this set, but there is some slight wear and marks throughout. The manufacture code, “ksd”, is stamped into the side, as well as a 1943 date. C/6 5x 14° Kriegsmarine Optical Targeting Sight Used on U-boats and other surface vessels, t. Hese were captured at the end of the war. The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6×30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7×50, 8×30, 8×60 10×50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service. This specific optical sight was attached to the 88mm gun that was mounted on the forward deck of German U-Boats. Made of solid brass and steel, by Carl Zeiss, Jena, this 5x 14° power scope is in EXCELLENT used condition! The lens bodies retain about 95% of their original finish, and end piece fittings are 100% intact! The optics are still VERY CLEAR and SHARP with almost no spotting! The right top features a data plate indicating. The eye piece cover also features the same information and matching serial number. The filter knob is 100% FUNCTIONAL, and allows the use to change between 4 different views – Clear, Grey Filter, Yellow Filter, and Red Filter for night vision. I have shown how some of the filters look in the attached photos. Please note that the marks shown is just glare. Light marks, scratches, and paint chips throughout… A VERY NICE example, I have shown it’s location in the last photos (though mounted to a 10.5cm gun). When attached to a U-Boat deck gun, it would have to be constantly attached and removed, as it is not pressurized for submerging. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!! This specific binocular was used by the U-Boat commander. Made of solid brass and steel, by “blc” (Carl Zeiss Militarabteilung, Jena), these 8 x 60 power binoculars are in EXCELLENT used condition! The lens bodies retain about 98% of their original, rough textured, tan/grey finish, and end piece fittings are 100% intact! The optics are still VERY CLEAR and SHARP with no spotting! The view is a bit hazy, but it does not detract, and one could clean them, if they wished. The right side is body marked 8×60, the 3-digit code of “blc” , the serial number, “49688”. Though not marked as such, the optics also appear to be coated. It is missing the strap, but one can easily find a replacement. The flip-up eye cups are a bit loose, but that can be tightened via the retaining screws.
