Great vintage plaque that is over 50 years old. Wood plaque measures approx 10″x8″. Brass emblem is 5 round. There are some scratches and scrapes to the wood which I believe could be repaired or replaced. The dark overlay on the former owners retirement plate is starting to flake off. The brass emblem is in good shape with some minor scratches. I have attempted to show the overall condition olin photos. Please ask any questions you have.

Model of a nuclear attack submarine, Los Angeles, class 688. I believe this is a model done by Electric Boat as a presentation piece, It came out of Portsmoth RI, where Electric Boat Has A large presence. Some of the decals show damage as shown in the pictures. It has been brought to my attention that it is missing the two small sailplanes, It came with a brass name plate that I will include.

Three vintage photographs of the USS COLORADO BATTLESHIP (BB-45) in DRYDOCK – one shows the name on the hull and has many men up on the rigging surrounding the hull; the other views don’t show the name; all three measure roughly 4×6 inches. Antique, Collectibles & Bric-A-Brac. This is a circa 1937 submarine commissioning model for the USS Stingray (SS-186) in perfect condition with deck gun intact but periscope has been broken off. Her keel was laid down in the Portsmouth Navy Yard on 1 October 1936. She was launched on 6 October 1937 sponsored by Mrs. McLean, widow of Rear Admiral Ridley McLean, who had had a distinguished career in the submarine service, and was commissioned on 15 March 1938 with Lieutenant L. SIZE: Approximately 2-3/16″ in height, 7-1/8″ in length and 1-7/8 in diameter. MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass with painted lettering. ATTACHMENT: Model screwed into base. CONDITION: 9+ (Very Fine+): The model has some light wear only, with deck gun intact and periscope intact.
