At the time he was serving as second assistant keeper of Upper Cedar Point LH in Maryland. This was removed from an album and has a corner mounts still attached. He was the last Civilian United States lighthouse keeper retiring in 1968 with 38 years service. He was stationed at Wolf Trap lighthouse at the time of his retirement. Please view my other items. Measures 5 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches. I have listed (separately) his Continuous discharge book from the USLHS. It shows service on the lightships Diamond and Chesapeake in the 1930s.

4 1/2 x 3 1/4 inch B&W. Original photograph of ” Windmill Point” lighthouse in Virginia on the Chesapeake bay. Taken by USCG civilian keeper Floyd Earl Crewe of Mathews Virginia. He joined the crew in 1947 -1954 and assisted in the decommissioning of the lighthouse. This was removed from an album and has a corner mount still attached. Lighthouse Service Cocktail Forks Flatware c. Such flatware was used while dining in the Officers Mess aboard Lighthouse Tenders, light vessels or for use at offshore lights or remote light stations. These beautiful items are silver plate and measure 5 7/8 long. They were used for cocktails and bear the original stamped marking of the Lighthouse Service with 3/32 lettering: U. On the under side. Also marked International Silver Co.. Forks are in clean and original condition with only few minor marks, and little if any wear. There are 3 forks available, price marked is for 1.
