Model of a nuclear attack submarine, Los Angeles, class 688. I believe this is a model done by Electric Boat as a presentation piece, It came out of Portsmoth RI, where Electric Boat Has A large presence. Some of the decals show damage as shown in the pictures. It has been brought to my attention that it is missing the two small sailplanes, It came with a brass name plate that I will include.

Navy submarines have multiple depth gauges of varying depths that can be switched on or off depending on what depth the submarine is operating at. The gauge was disassembled and the inside of the housing was then cleaned, then the gauge was reassembled, tested with water and compressed air, and confirmed to be in working condition. The parts of the phosphor bronze mechanism that are inside of the housing are all clean. Because of the age of the gauge, it should be assumed that it is no longer accurate and would need to be sent to a qualified shop to be recalibrated in order for it to be accurate again. The gauge has a bakelite housing, a glass lens and a steel dial.
