This is a 1/1250 scale metal waterline model of the light cruiser HMS Manchester, manufactured in Germany by Neptun, Catalog No. 1143, painted as sistership HMS Liverpool, as in 1942. I have customized and enhanced this model by replacing the 6 main battery with machined brass barrels. 4 secondary and 20mm AA barrels with steel wire, by reconstructing the masts from brass and steel wire, and by drilling out the portholes for sharper relief. Model is 5.75 inches (14.5 cm) long, and will be carefully packed in its own Neptun-style box.
