Awesome bronze Sasgen Derrick hand winch with brake lever. The piece is signed on the handle “USNS GEAR”. The winch weights 15 lbs 4 oz. – It is solid bronze – no steel parts, etc. My Grandfather was a WWII Navy helmet diver for the merchant marines (USS Gear ARS-34). He retired in 1974.
