Wood Ship Fragment Artifact Relic Old Ironsides USS Constitution, c. 1797-1929
She is the worlds oldest commissioned Naval Vessel still afloat. Great historic piece in a unique presentation mounted to an old note with some information about the piece. Its quite facsinating as it has the name and address of the person it belonged to at the time. It measures about 12 1/4″ by 5 1/2″ total in frame with the fragment itself measuring roughly 1 1/2″ by 4″ long. Pieces of the USS Constitution are becoming very hard to find as most are in private or museum collections at this point. This one is so unique that I had it in mine for years as its exceptionally rare to find something like this with the information or the story attached about who, when and where it was originally acquired. Ships free insured to domestic USA. Thanks for looking and please see my other items for more great antiques and fine art added weekly to Wolfmarksales online store!
