This submarine measures 9″ long and sits on a wooden base that is 10 1/8″ x 2 3/4. The sub is made of a hard resin or claylike material. It is missing the brass ball that held the back end to the base. Something similar can surely be found. There is just a couple of tiny chips to the paint, one being on the top and two more pin point flecks near the front. Decals are in very good shape as well as the original paint. An impressive model with a lot of history. Ordered in 1965, launched in 1969 and decommissioned in 1998. I believe this model could be a memento from its launch.
